The majority of our guests will be arriving at once – do you offer speedy check-in and check-out?
Yes, we can offer your group this service if charges are being billed to a master account. If charges are being paid by the individual we will require an advance method of payment from each guest.
What time can I check-in and check-out?
Our check-in time is at 3:00 pm and check-out is 11:00 am. Special arrangements can be made if you wish to alter either of these times.
Does the meeting space at Atlantica Hotel & Marina Oak Island offer wireless internet services?
Yes, we do have Wi-fi available in all of our meeting space.
Does the resort offer discounts for group meals?
Yes, the resort offers discounted group meal packages.
Can we customize a package to fit our needs that includes golf, spa, food and beverage and accommodations?
Yes, we do customize any of our packages to fit our client’s needs. We can build you a package to suit your requirements with any of the following included: entertainment, meeting space, refreshment breaks, meals and accommodation.
Are you able to assist me with booking entertainment, local attractions or transportation?
Our Sales and Catering Department would be happy to assist you in booking entertainment, local attractions and/or transportation. To assist you in the process we can supply you a list of things to see and do as well as a list of entertainers in our area.
Are your chalets open in the winter?
Yes, our oceanfront chalets are open year round and are fully winterized.
What amenities are available in your guestrooms and chalets?
Our guestrooms offer cable television, an alarm clock, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, shampoo, soap, conditioner, lotion, make-up wipes as well as shoe shine kits. The majority of our oceanfront guestrooms have balconies or walk out decks and some have mini fridges. Some of our landside guestrooms have balconies as well.
Our oceanfront chalets feature all of the above amenities as well as the following: microwave, small fridge, 2 burner stovetop, toaster oven, electric kettle, and are fully equipped with pots/pans/bowls, dishes, glassware, utensils, dish cloths, dish soap, tea towels. Also included are a propane BBQ with utensils, outdoor fire pit (complete with a bundle of firewood and kindling), electric fireplace in the living room, and a Jacuzzi tub.
All hotel guestrooms and chalets have telephones, and hotel guestrooms offer wireless internet access.
Is there anywhere to shop in the area?
There is a gift shop at the resort that houses a vast array of souvenirs, clothing and books. The towns and villages along the South Shore are known for their quaint streets lined with boutiques and cafés. The Front Desk would be happy to point you in the right direction.
Does Atlantica Hotel & Marina Oak Island have wheelchair accessible rooms and cottages?
Yes, Atlantica Oak Island has wheelchair accessible rooms. If you require one of these rooms, please make your request when booking your reservation.
How long does it take to drive to Atlantica Hotel & Marina Oak Island from:
Yarmouth – 2.5 hours; Digby - 2 hours (take Route 101 – Hwy#10 – Route 103 – Exit 10); Halifax – 45 minutes (Hwy #103 – Exit 9); Halifax International Airport – 75 minutes
If there are people with food allergies in our group can you accommodate them?
When making arrangements with our Catering Department for your group meals please indicate if someone has a food allergy and our chef would be happy to do his best to accommodate any special needs your delegates may have.
Does Atlantica Hotel & Marina Oak Island allow posters, banners etc., in the meeting rooms?
Only masking tape is permitted on wall or ceiling surfaces. Anything that will puncture the wall or ceiling surfaces is not permitted. Example: thumb tacks, pins, hooks, nails, etc.
Do your meeting rooms have natural lighting?
The majority of our meeting spaces have windows which allow in natural sunlight as well as breathtaking ocean views.
Do you arrange babysitting for guests?
This can be arranged, however this service is not always available.
What audio visual equipment do you have on site?
Onsite, we have complimentary basic audio visual equipment such as television, podium, screens, flip charts, etc. (based on availability). We can arrange rental for additional state of the art equipment.
